About WBJEE 2014:
Conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board, The WBJEE 2014 is
the entrance examination for admissions to various professional courses in
various fields of Engineering/Architecture/Technology for various university and
colleges in West Bengal.
WBJEE 2014 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with
aminimum of 45% in aggregate inPhysics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology
(40% for SC/ST)

Candidates must also have obtained a minimum of 30% in English subject.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be 17 years or above by December 2013
For B.Tech/B.E Marine Engineering:
Total Marks: 200

Note: There will be a negative marking of 33.33 % in case of incorrect answer.

Candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% in Maths, Physics
and Chemistry in 10+2 from a recognized board

A minimum of 50% in Engish is mandatory either at the Class X level or Class
XII level.

Candidates must have passed individually in the subjects of Chemistry,
Physics, Mathematics, Vernacular and English.
- Candidates cannot be older than 25 years of age.

The WBJEE 2014 Merit Rank will be announced soon after the
declaration of the results. The counselling for WBJEE 2014 will be conducted in
three phases- First, Second and Third. The phases of counselling depend on the
number of meritorious students and the availability of the seats.
A fourth round may be conducted if
seats are available after the deemed three rounds of WBJEE Counselling are
concluded.
