1. When does the school year start?
The school year generally begins in March.
2. What is school admission policy?
Three Stage Process
1st Stage:
The Entrance Test. This test consists of four papers: English, Math, General Knowledge and Science.
2nd Stage:
After the written test is evaluated, an admission committee forwards the paper to the Principal and Principal
scrutinize the results and decide on a qualifying mark for inviting student to come to the school for an
interview and interaction.
3rd Stage:
Parents and students are invited to come to the School for admission. The parents are asked to submit their
wards TC and Birth Certificate along with other documents such as mark sheet or report card.
3. What criteria are used for admission decisions?
When assessing your child’s application, SIS considers prior academic records, entrance exam results,
reference letters, and the possible need for additional support services. To be admitted to the Kindergarten
programme, a student must be 4+ years of age before the start of the school year. PP1 applicants must be 5+
years old by the first day of the school year. PP2 applicants must be 6+ years old by the first day of school
of that school year.
4. Who is accepted?
SIS accepts all children from Kindergarten to IGCSE who are inspired by our mission and want to challenge
themselves to excel in various fields.
5. How do I apply for school place from overseas?

6. What is the refundable security deposit?
Every student seeking admission into SIS must pay a security deposit to cover unexpected emergency
spending or uncollected funds. This deposit is non-interest bearing for the parents, and is refundable upon
the student withdrawing from the school.
7. Will my child be able to travel and see other parts of the world?
Every year school children travels to other parts of world for vacation, sightseeing and educational trip Past
trips have included Trip to NASA space camp USA, Egypt for more visit our website notice board.
8. How can parents send extra-spending money for his/her child?
Extra-spending money may be included as funds with installment plans, or may be arranged with the
accounts department at any time for time payment. Through core banking account no. provided by account
department.
9. What is the student-faculty ratio?
The student to faculty ratio is 1:10.
10. How different is the teaching methodology from other schools?
Our teaching methodology is innovative, child centric and activity based. The child learns a concept by
doing and not by tote learning.
11. What are your responsibilities as parents?
It is your responsibility to ensure that your child receives full-time education. When the child is a registered
pupil of SIS, this means ensuring that your child attends punctually and regularly and doing everything
possible to ensure that he/she behaves in an appropriate way while at school. You should not take you
child(ren) out of school for family holidays or extended overseas trips unless you have first discussed this
with the Principal.
