JNTU-H told to inspect engg., pharmacy colleges


The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday directed the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H) to conduct an inspection of all engineering and pharmacy colleges offering postgraduate courses to ascertain that the facilities being provided were as per AICTE norms.

The order was passed by Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy in a batch of petitions filed regarding admissions into various private engineering and pharmacy colleges offering PG courses. 
Appearing for JNTU-H, Telangana Advocate-General K. Ramakrishna Reddy said notices were issued to 127 engineering and 40 pharmacy colleges seeking particulars about the facilities. The case will now be listed on November 17.
