Students near the stage during the rock performance
Udghosh, the sports festival of IIT Kanpur, organised last week, turned out to be a rocking affair for the students.
The first day of the fest kick-started with the electrifying performance by Pakistani rock band, Raeth. "Wajhi Farouqui and his band is quite popular in India and Pakistan and they gave a rocking performance," said, Sudhir a member of the organising team. The venue was jam-packed with students waiting eagerly for the performance. "Sabse pehle Kanpur aur IIT Kanpur ke students ko Karachi ka pyaar bhara salam," said Wajhi as he came on stage.
Teri Deewani: Songs like Teri Deewani, Bhulado and Tum Meri Ho had the students requesting an encore. Food court turned to be another attraction among the students. Ankit, Pragyanand and Nitesh were spotted enjoying their Turkish Paratha. "Turkish cheese paratha is a must try here," said Ankit.
