Good news for all girl students !!
Reportedly Indian institute of technology, Bombay is going to start a new bus service for all girl students in campus. This decision was taken after recent gang rape incident in Delhi.Now girls can call for campus transport to ferry them to the laboratory or back to hostel.
Presently In IIT bombay 15% student are girls and staff is more concerned about their safety.
At IIT-Guwahati, said director Gautam Barua, several safety measures had also been put in place. “As our research scholars work till late, they get a guard to escort them back to hostels. Students also have to inform the campus guards if they are stepping out. They are not allowed to go out after 10pm.”
IIT Madras campus have already this bus service and institute has also banned entry of boys in girls hostel.
