Now students can self-attest their certificates for admission into IIT’s, NIT’s & CFTI’s

In a radical move by the government students aspiring for admission to IITs, IIMs and central universities can self-attest their certificates, reportedly Human Resources Development ministry has asked the institutes to accept self-attested certificates.
This will immensely benefit students as quite often they are in trouble getting the documents attested by gazetted officers, reportedly the Second Administrative Reforms Commission in its 12th report titled ‘Citizen Centric Administration’ — the Heart Of Governance’, had recommended adoption of self-certification provision for simplifying procedures.
Reportedly MHRD will also ask state institutes to adopt this procedure.
