The department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the largest and oldest departments of the Institute. It offers a 4 years full time degree for ME.
It was started in the academic year 2006-2007. It is a unique 4-year B.Tech. programme in Mathematics and Computing, the first of its kind in the country. The average salary offered for this course in 2012 was 8.6 lakhs per annum.
