The annual technical festival of Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, 'Technex-2013' began at IIT-BHU campus on Thursday.
Noted banking professional and president of Indian Liberal Group Meera Sanyal inaugurated the festival. A number of panel discussions and talks on various topics were held between the students and the experts on the inaugural day. IIT spokesperson J Krishna Teja said all the technical events, including robotics, extreme engineering and 17 others will start from Friday.
A number of workshops on ethical hacking, automation and animation will also be held with technical and management events. Meanwhile, various engineering and management colleges including IIM Kolkata, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kashipur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee have confirmed participation in the festival.
Eminent lawyer Indira Jaising will deliver a special lecture on Friday.
IIT-BHU director Dhananjay Pandey and several others were present on the occasion.
