Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi, B.Tech Admission 2013 – Applications invited

Date of establishment: 10th June, 2008
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology , Delhi is in itself a State University and not affiliated to any university. It has no academic relationship with IP Univ/DCE/NSIT/DTU. IIIT Delhi was created by an Act of Govt of NCT Delhi (IIIT Delhi Act, 2007) and is a state university.
  • Applications invited for B.Tech admission 2013-14  - Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology(IIIT), Delhi invites Applications from the eligible candidates for admission into B Tech program in the following disciplines for the Academic Year 2013 – 2015. Courses offered: • B Tech (CSE) • B Tech (ECE)
  • Eligibility:
80% or more marks in the aggregate and 80% or more in Mathematics in class XII from CBSE / ICSE / IB board or equivalent
If a board has more then five subjects for aggregate, then best five will be taken
Relaxation for reserved categories: 10% for SC/ST, 5% for CW, 5% for PH
Students from any stream with Mathematics as one of class XII subjects can apply
Additional criteria for admission in ECE program: Physics in Class XII
A candidate must be less than 25 years of age as on the first October 2013
Candidates awaiting for the 10+2 may also sit for exam Selection Process:
Selection of the candidates will be based on marks obtained in JEE Main 2013 (60% weightage)

  • Current Placement Status of IIIT Delhi:
After the successful placement of the first graduating batch of IIIT-Delhi, the B.Tech 2009 and the M.Tech 2011 batches have also fared fittingly. The sterling placement statistics of these two batches stands testimony to the fact that our graduates have the best combination of strong technical background with excellent soft skills. Even prior to the placements, many students of the B.Tech and M.Tech batches had already done internships in international universities, IT industry specific R&D labs and IT companies during the summers of 2011 and 2012.
Statistics regarding the B.Tech placements:
Out of a batch of 56 students, 50 opted to sit for the placement process and 37 got placed as of 21st March, 2013. Some of the companies that visited our institute include Microsoft India, Facebook, Google, Adobe, Accenture, Adobe, Amazon, IBM, Infosys, Magic Software, TCS and Texas Instruments. There were a total of 24 companies that showed up at our institute.
Students got domestic as well as international job offers with 33 students being placed in India and 4 abroad. The highest salary offered for a job in India was INR 16 lacs per annum whereas 4 offers of INR 28.5 lacs per annum were the highest amongst international offers received.
The average salary for jobs offered in India was 8.43 lacs and the average including the overseas packages was 10.09 lacs. Out of the 33 students placed in India, 11 got packages of above 10 lacs per annum.
