President of India, Dr Pranab Mukherjee will preside over the programme. Rashtrapati Bhavan has given security clearance to the Simrol site, where the permanent campus has to come up, institute sources said. Prior to the President's visit security and vigilance cell of the Rashtrapati Bhavan clearance for his visit is must. The institute first choice for holding the ceremony was Simrol. It had university teaching department and PACL campus in the back-up plan if the Simrol security plan is rejected by the President's office.
