CBSE may conduct JEE Main twice in a year from 2015

JEE Apex body meeting was held on Tuesday to discuss new CBSE proposal of conducting JEE Main twice in a year. If this proposal is accepted all students can appear two times for JEE Main without losing a year. JEE Apex body accept that this will reduce stress of students.
If this proposal is accepted, new system could be implemented from 2015. In these two exams, CBSE will consider best score of the candidates as final JEE Main score.
Final announcement has not been made yet. All experts are not in favour of this proposal. According to some IIT Professors repeat exam could increase stress as every candidate would try to improve his or her marks. “The second chance may prove good for students who have missed the first exam for a genuine reason. But it will encourage every student to take both the tests to improve their chances.”
