The placement season has already started in many big institutes of the state with tests underway in many colleges. Placement officials and industry observers indicate that foreign firms like Accenture and IBM are likely to hire more aggressively this year, while that by Indian firms is expected to be less than last year Placements are in progress at Vellore Institute of Technology, College of Engineering- Guindy and PSG College of Technology and Amrita University in Coimbatore, while SRM University and SASTRA University will start the process in the coming weeks.
