NIT Jamshedpur to host national level competition for Mechanical engineers

National institute of technology, Jamshedpur is planning to hoast a national level competition for Auto engineers in January-2014. This competition will provide a platform to test the engineering skills of the Auto engineers. Around 80 auto engineering colleges will participate in this contest called Delta Shootout.
NIT Jamshedpur will be the host institutional partner and Adityapur Auto Cluster (AAC) the host industrial partner. “We will make this event one of the best events in the country. This will be an opportunity for promising mechanical engineers to show their talents to about 1000 industries,” said a NIT professor. He also added that the proposed event will provide the prospective automobile engineers a platform to compete and make good use of their skills.
As per the rules, it will be a single-seater, four-wheeler off-road vehicle made by the students. The engine has an upper cap of 400cc. “We are happy to partner this event. Eastern India has a rich tradition of motor racing and this event will only promote and inspire future racers and race engineers to come together,” said AAC secretary Pramod Kumar Singh.
