The annual cultural festival of IIT(Indian Institute of Technology), BHU(Banaras Hindu University) ended with 'Run for a cause marathon' which began from the institute to Bhelupur crossing on Sunday morning. In this marathon, around 250 people from BHU and other colleges participated in the marathon.
A marathon for a social cause was listed in the cultural fest of the institute. Funds collected from the event will go to Smile Foundation. Marathon's theme was to empower women, education and welfare of underpriviledged children and AIDS awareness. Participants were carrying placards containing slogans.
Final rounds of eastern bands and original composition competition were also held. The final rounds of great Indian finals and Vaad Yudh were also held. Street plays, quiz and many literary events were also organized. Besides, around 16 musical bands from different colleges and universities held performance during the Antarnaad event after the closing ceremony of the festival on Sunday.
