The National Robotics Championship 2013 will begin tomorrow at Park College of Engineering and Technology (PCET) on the city outskirts.
The championship, an IIT Kharagpur inititive, is an intensive two-day workshop for talented undergraduate students, who have the opportunity to participate in the state-of-the-art ‘ADRUINO based Robotics, ATMEGA controller and RobotC’, a PCET release said here.
The workshop forwards the best aspiring students team to participate in the championship to be held in March and the competition is held at 40 colleges in India and PCET hosts as a Zonal Centre under the Southern Region, it said.
RobotC is distributed with intellectural property of Camegie Mellon Robotics Academy, USA and all participants will be awarded Certificates from IIT Kharagpur and RobotC USA.
The Winner gets a Humanoid Robot, Certificate of Excellence, Free Summer Internship and a cash prize up to Rs 1 lakh, the release said.
