Seniors threatens to kill a student for not buying liquor

Reportedly strict actions were taken against 4 students of century old Government College of Engineering & Textile Technology following complaints of ragging against them. Four students of century old Government College of Engineering & Textile Technology, Serampore, were arrested.
A 2nd year Information Technology department student, Arijit Sikdar, lodged a complaint with the UGC’s anti-ragging cell that four senior students forced him to buy liquor threatening that otherwise he would be pushed from the 1st floor balcony of their hostel, college sources said.
Student submitted the complaint about the same on UGC website. UGC cell informed the college about this ragging case, and immediately college issued a show cause notice to all four students.
