Top 25 B Schools of India

Top 25 B Schools in India: CareerAnna B-School Rankings

Traditionally, B-School Rankings are either based on data provided by B-Schools (which is often exaggerated) or perception based (which generally misses the factual information). To overcome this, Team CareerAnna conducted a research of 47 B-Schools of the country taking into account even the TRUTH that is never sent to media officially. As per the research results, we have arrived at the list of top 25 B-Schools of India.
Before we present you the list, we would like to share few things with our readers. There are certain parameters for which we have talked to college students and alumni to get the REAL data and not the PORTRAYED data which is sent to media by B-Schools. We request the readers to take the final call of applying or not applying to a B-School or selecting one B-School over other at their own discretion and after doing proper background check. Do not just go by any of the rankings published anywhere (including ours) or by the placement reports published on college websites as they generally only have inflated figures. (Detailed methodology has been explained at the end)
With this, we bring to you…Top 25 B Schools in India image 2

Methodology
The parameters taken into account for the rankings are mentioned below.
  • Infrastructure and Student Facilities
  • Academic Pedadgogy
  • Number of Permanent Faculties and their Qualifications
  • Quality of Guest Faculties (information gathered through unofficial sources)
  • Released Placement Data (Published in reports)
  • Actual Placement Data (gathered through unofficial sources)
  • Number of students who remained unplaced actually in last 5 years (gathered through unofficial sources)
  • Industry Perception
  • Actual profiles offered to students (gathered through unofficial sources)
  • Number of Students (Everything being equal, the college with lesser students is better)
We are in the process of evaluating few more B-Schools and thus taking the figure of 47 to 71 B-Schools for the research. And thus to keep the research unbiased from college students’ perspective, we are not disclosing the weightage of different parameters. However, by January 2014; we would be releasing the consolidated list of top 50 B-Schools of the country with weightage of all the parameters and scores of respective B-Schools.
Also, please note that ISB, Hyderabad has not been included in the rankings above as we could not get the minimum required information to calculate score for the institute.
Cheers,
Team CareerAnna
