Recently Joint admission board meeting was held to discuss tentative dastes for Joint entrance examination 2014.
The tentative dates for JEE 2014 are as below:
- JEE Main 2014 – will commence on 6 April 2014
- JEE Advanced 2014 – will be held on 25 May 2014
These dates are tentative and might change later.
What will be JEE 2014 pattern
Pattern of JEE 2014 will be remain same as it was in 2013. NIT/CFTIs/SFTIs admission will be based on JEE Main 2014 all india rank and for IITs there will be a two tier examination. JEE Main 2014 followed by JEE Advanced 2014.
JEE Main 2014 merit link will be prepared by giving 40% weightage to XII board marks and 60% weightage to JEE Main 2014 score.
Top 1.5 lakh students based on JEE Main 2014 scores will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2014. JAB might increase this number to upto 2 lakhs but any final announcement has not made yet.
IIT admission eligibility criteria – Most probably top 20 percentile rule will remain same as it was in 2013. Only top 20 percentile students in each board will be eligible to get admission in IITs on the basis of JEE Advanced 2014 all india rank.
