JEE Advanced might be subjective from 2014

Reportedly indian institute of technology Bombay has recommended some changes in JEE Advanced examination that might take place from next year 2014. As per recommendation report submitted by IIT Bombay mode of JEE Advanced should be subjective in nature.

This year admission to IITs and ISM Dhanbad will be a two tier process, in first stage students will appear for JEE Man examination, top 1.5 lakh candidates drawn from the first test will appear for second stage JEE Advanced. This year mode of both exams will be objective in nature.
A report from a committee comprising IIT officials has recommended that from 2014, the second stage exam be converted from a multiple choice question-based test to a subjective one testing students’ understanding. This report has been accepted by IIT Bombay senate and will be forwarded to all IIT senates. If all IIT senates accept these changes then this report will go to Joint admission board (JAB)
