VIT student’s F1 race car bags 2nd position in Formula ATA

According to sources a 40 member team of VIT student bagged the second position in the Cost and Manufacturing Event at Formula SAE Italy and Formula Electric Italy. The event was held at Varano de’ Melegari, Parma Province in Italy, that was held from September 13 to 16. On Tuesday VIT chancellor presented the SAE certificate to Prateek Sibal, captain of the VIT student team in Vellore.
VIT chancellor G. Viswanathan said that the Italian Automotive Technical Association, in collaboration with Society of Automotive Engineers, organised the ninth edition of the competition that provided UG and PG students from across the globe a platform to demonstrate their engineering skills, and team spirit by conceiving, designing and fabricating a formula style race car.
Formula ATA is held every year in moth of September
