95% students clear OJEE

As many as 90,889 (95%) students, of 95,278 who took the test, have qualified the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination-2013 (OJEE), the results of which were declared here on Thursday. This is probably the last OJEE for engineering as state colleges may take students from JEE (main) from next year. This year medical colleges in the state opted out of the OJEE.

Announcing the results, technical education minister Pratap Keshari Deb said, "OJEE was conducted with utmost discipline this year by implementing two-tier observer system and video recording important events of the examination process. The counselling will begin from second week of June."

Sansit Patnaik of Mother's Public School has topped the engineering stream with Anuva Aiswarya being the topper among girls.

The other candidates, who have bagged top honours in the OJEE, are Siba Narayan Padhi (topper) and Sibani Mishra (topper among girls) from Berhampur in pharmacy. Similarly Ankit Kumar Tripathy of Dhenkanal and Banani Sarangi of Kahalia have topped MBA while D Srikant of Jeypore amd Kajal Nayak of Khallikote have emerged the toppers in MCA.
