JAWAHAR VIDYA MANDIR, SHYAMALI, RANCHI-2 CRITERION FOR DIRECT ADMISSION IN CLASS: XI  (SCIENCE/COMMERCE/ARTS STREAMS) FOR SESSION 2013 – 2014

Few seats will be reserved for direct admission on the merit for students
who passed Class: X on the basis of examination conducted at Board
level. Direct admission will be granted to students subject to availability
of seats.
For this purpose the following criteria will be followed:-
A) Students of ICSE and State Board where grades are not
introduced such students should score the following marks for
direct admission:
i) A minimum of 92% marks out of 500 (in English, Science,
Mathematics, Social Science and Hindi/ Sanskrit) for direct
admission in Science Stream.
ii) A minimum of 81% marks out of 500 (in English, Science,
Mathematics, Social Science and Hindi/ Sanskrit) for direct
admission in Commerce Stream.
ii) A minimum of 160 marks out of 200 (in English and Social
Science) for direct admission in Arts Stream.
B) i) Those who pass from CBSE should score CGPA 10 points – i.e
A1 in all subjects (without star) for direct admission in Science
Stream, A minimum of A2 (without star) in all subjects for
direct admission in Commerce Stream and a minimum of A2
(without star) in English and Social Science for direct
admission in Arts Stream.
ii) For direct admission with regard to SC/ST students, the grade
A1 (without star) i.e. minimum 92% marks, will be considered
only in 3 subjects such as English, Maths and Science for
admission in Science Stream, A2 (without star) – i.e. minimum
of 81% marks will be considered only in 3 subjects such as
English, Maths and Social Science for admission in
Commerce Stream A2 (without star) in Social Science (i.e.
minimum of 81% marks), B1 (without star) in English (i.e.
minimum 71%) will be considered for admission in Arts Stream
(to produce proof)

ADMISSION CIRCULAR
The following students have qualified for admission in Class: XI (Science Stream –
Morning/ Afternoon sessions and ARTS/ COMMERCE stream. However, the
candidates must score the following grades/ marks in results of Board Exams.

Students from ICSE/ CBSE/ Other boards are advised to take admission the next
day after the publication of the result between 8.30 AM and 12.30 PM. No request
for change in session will be considered at any stage. The following documents/
certificates should be produced in original at the beginning of the classes. Admission
without the following documents shall be treated as provisional.
1. School leaving certificate
2. Marks statement
3. Character certificate
4. Migration certificate (Other than CBSE board)
5. Photocopy of caste certificate (only for SC/ ST/ OBC)
If any information furnished by the candidate is found wrong at any stage his/ her
admission will be cancelled.
