IIIT Hyderabad girl student gets an annual pay package of Rs 70 lakh

Reportedly Anjali Sachdev, a B.Tech student in computer science department at International Institute of Information Technology (Hyderabad), has bagged a job offer with an annual package of Rs 70 lakh ($1.37 lakh) from a US tech company.

Placement season is still going on and students are getting big pay packages. Shipra malhotra, again from computer science department has also bagged annual package of Rs 54 lakh from a top US firm.
While these two bagged the top honours, about 280 others got selected in various IT, technology research companies and other sectors. The lowest package this time so far has been Rs 6.5 lakh.
From this season, the institute has begun charging the companies that come for recruitment.“We have asked them to pay eight per cent of the annual salary of the candidate. They need not pay upfront. They can see the performance of the candidate for six months and pay us after that,” said T.V. Devi Prasad, Head (Placements)
