AP student must score 89.81% in XII to get entry into IITs/Top 20 percentile for AP Board – 2013

State board results are coming out one by one and every one wants to know cut off score to come under top 20 percentile.
As per an analysis conducted by A.P Board of Intermediate Education, cutoff percentage for general candidate to come under top 20 percentile is 89.81, students must get over 89.81 per cent in the 10+2 exams.

As per new rule for IIT entrance only those students who will score more than cut off percentage for top 20 percentile in their boards will be eligible to get admission in IITs. Earlier eligibility percentage was 60% for general and 55% for other reserved categories.
According to officials, the cut-off mark for students in this list is 476 for students of AP to figure among the top 20 percentile, whereas to figure among the 40,500 candidates to be selected from the non creamy layer of OBC, the cut- off is around 470. Keeping the competition close, cut-off marks for candidates from SC (22,500 nationwide) and ST categories (11,250) is likely to be above 445 for SC and around 450 for STs.
Students can apply for recounting or re-verification of Inter answer scripts as usual. Board will complete the process by May 20 and provide the final results to CBSE by taking into account the marks secured in revaluation/recounting also till May end.
