CBSE awards 6 bonus marks for the error in Mathematics paper

Reportedly Central Board of Seconday education has decided to award 6 bonus marks for the students who received the question set number 3 for the mathematics paper.

The set no.3 of the mathematics paper, apparently had erraneous question at question number 26.The decision was taken by the experts’ committee. The erroneous differential equation was “(Xex/y+y) dx = xdy” where instead of ‘x/y’ it should have been ‘y/x’. CBSE has confirmed the “printing mistake”.
Though this comes as relief to students who suffered in the examination due to erraneous question, the parents forum for meaningful education is unhappy about the way CBSE is handling this issue by just awarding bonus marks for the error.
