We will be releasing JEE Main 2013 video solutions for the offline examination as soon as the examination is over, this is the first year that a new pattern for entrance into National Institutes of Technology and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes is adopted and the CBSE has renamed AIEEE as JEE Main.

The new format for admission into NIT’s and CFTI’s will take into account the 12th board scores and the performance in the JEE Main examination, the weightage that has been decided to calculate a merit ranking which will be used for admission is 40% for the 12th board scores and 60% for the JEE Main performance.
JEE Main 2013 will not be just used for the admission into National Institutes of technology and Centrally funded technical institutes but also will be used as a preliminary examination for IIT JEE Advanced, to be eligible for the admission into IIT’s, an aspirant will have to clear JEE Advanced but also should score marks in 12th board such that they are placed in top 20 percentile in their respective boards.
JEE Main this year will be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, similar to AIEEE where CBSE used to create the question paper and conduct the examination.

The JEE Main Paper 1 is for B.E/B.TECH courses, the duration of the JEE Main paper 1 exam is 3 hours, while it will be all objective questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics , where in each question will have four options with single correct answer. The Paper 1 will carry negative marking for incorrect responses, for each incorrect response, one fourth (1/4) of the total marks allotted to the question would be deducted. No response will mean no deduction of marks.
The JEE Main Paper 2 is for B.ARCH/B. PLANNING Where in there will be three parts,Part I of JEE main paper 2 is all objective questions of Mathematics, while the Part II will be an Aptitude test with all objective questions and Part III will be a drawing test where in you will be tested for drawing aptitude and this test will also be for a duration of 3 Hours.
JEE Main all sets:
JEE Main offline examination which will be conducted on 7th april 2013, which will be attended by 12 Lakh students across the country ,and JEE Main Offline examination will have 4 sets of question papers, which will be called Set A, Set B, set C & set D, which will be served to students. The JEE main computer based examination will be conducted on various dates in the month of the april, where in students will attend the exam at various allocated CBT centers.
JEE Main 2013 results:
The JEE Main results will be declared sometime in the last week of May or the first week of the June 2013, while the results will be released on the CBSE’s JEE Main website which is cbseresults.nic.in
JEE Main 2013 score :
JEE main 2013 scores will not be just used for the admission into all the NIT’s and other CFTI’s but all the colleges in the Gujarat state will be using JEE main scores for admission into state engineering colleges, in order to accommodate the admissions into Gujarat state engineering colleges, a separate JEE Main ranking list will be released for the all india ranking and also separately for the Gujarat state.
