Students have written to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) about the mistakes in the Physics subject paper of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE, mains) offline mode which was held in the country on April 7.
The JEE offline paper allegedly had a few mistakes including out of syllabus questions and incorrect answers in the physics paper.
The physics paper had two-three mistakes in which questions were either out of syllabus or had an answer which was not given in any of the four options - a,b,c,d," said Stratford Coaching Institute faculty KK Agarwal.
CBSE doesn't provide any key answer sheet for JEE but coaching classes independently devise the answer of all questions which are objective in nature.
Sahodaya Indore chairperson Sriniwas Rao said, "Students were talking about the mistakes in the JEE paper and some of them have written to the CBSE about the anomalies.
He added, "They are waiting for the response from the board to know about the process of marking for questions with wrong answers."
The board has a specific syllabus for JEE which was made available to students on the official JEE website much in advance for preparations. JEE mains were a 360 marks question paper with 90 questions, 30 each in physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Over 14 lakh students from across the country appeared in the offline mode of examination held last Sunday.
Around 35, 500 students in Indore appeared in the examination from the 57 examination centers.
This is the first time that JEE has been replaced by all central entrance examinations for admission in engineering institutes.
