8,907 candidates to take EAMCET in Kadapa

EAMCET Regional Convenor B. Jayarami Reddy said on Wednesday that 8,907 candidates would appear for EAMCET in the Kadapa regional centre on May 10, including 6,631 for engineering and 2,276 for medical.

No delay permitted

The test for engineering aspirants will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in 11 centres and for medical aspirants from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. in three centres in Kadapa. Candidates will be allowed inside the examination hall 45 minutes before the stipulated time and will not be permitted to enter even if they are late by a minute, Dr. Jayarami Reddy said on Wednesday.

The exam centres for engineering are KSRM, KORM, KLM and Madina engineering colleges, SKR and SKR Government women’s Degree College, Nagarjuna Women’s Degree College, SV Degree College, Global College of Engineering and Technology, Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences and Bharat College of Engineering for Women, all in Kadapa.

The medical exam centres are KSRM Engineering College, SKR and SKR Government Degree College and Nagarjuna Women’s Degree College.

Candidates should download their hall ticket from the website www.apeamcet.org, the convenor said.

APSRTC will ply free buses to all the EAMCET centres. Candidates should bring their hall tickets and application forms with colour photographs attested by the college principal or a gazetted officer and SC/ST candidates should also bring their attested caste certificate.

Prohibitory orders under Section 144 IPC will be enforced near the EAMCET centres, all nearby photocopy centres will be closed and mobile jammers will be put up, Dr. Jayarami Reddy, who is also Head of Civil Engineering, YSR Engineering College of YVU, Proddatur, said.
