Shashwat Sinai Salgaonkar of Merces has scored an impressive 275 out of 360 in IITJEE main, the qualifying test to answer the advance test to get into the national institutes. The student of MushtifundAryaan Higher Secondary School of Panaji is thrilled about his achievement. "It is a really nice feeling. But I know that this isn't the end and there is a lot more to go to get into an IIT."

Proud parents Nitin, a banker, and Anisha Salgaonkar are ecstatic with their son's success. "I'm a proud father today and I owe it to my son's hard work and determination. I know that he is capable of getting through the upcoming IIT-JEE Advanced," he said.
Seventeen-year-old Shashwat aspires to become a mechanical engineer. "I didn't really have a specific timetable to study. I just paid attention in class and at home it was just a follow up. I would like to thank my parents for their continuous support and my teacher Venkatesh Prabhudesai, Amiya Kumar and Jayanta Chowdary for their tremendous effort in helping me out in academics."
Besides being good at academics, Salgaonkar loves to involve himself in any sort of entertainment during his free time. "After studying I make it a point to keep some time for myself. I love listening to different genres of music. I'm an active participant in various national quizzes."

Siddharth Mohan, who also emerged a top scorer at the Class XII exams, scored 269 out of 360 in the IIT JEE main. The student of Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School wants to pursue a career in electrical engineering.
His father V Mohan Doss works at the Indian Navy and his mother Chhaya Mohan is a bank manager.
"I feel good", Siddharth said. "I want to thank my parents and teachers at Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School for all their help. I did expect a little bit more though," he said
Siddharth said that he studies for five hours everyday and tried to solve as many papers he could for practice. "I do not have any specific timetable. It depends on what I want to finish studying on that particular day."
Siddharth loves playing the guitar and violin during his free time. He also plays squash and badminton.

Tejan Hede, who scored 232 out of 360, is from Porvorim. He is a student of Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School. He wants to become an electrical engineer by studying at one of the IITs or at any NIT.
"I am feeling happy. My parents are proud that I have done so well. Looking forward to the advanced IIT JEE exams and have already started preparing for it," he said
His father Rohit Hede is a skin specialist and his mother Shanta Hede has studied architecture.
During his free time, Tejan, listens to music and sometimes plays outdoor games like cricket and football.
"I do not follow any fixed timetable and study for 4-5 hours a day."

Chicalim resident, 17-year-old Aravind K scored 214 out of 360 at the IIT JEE main. Aravind studied at the Navy Children's School and went for IIT coaching at Mushtifund Aryaan.
"I am feeling very excited, although I expected to get a higher score. Thanks to all my teachers from Aryaans for all their help. The coaching classes helped me a lot," Aravind said.
His father Anil Kumar S. is the additional general manager at Goa Shipyards and his mother Geetha Kumar is a housewife.
Aravind wants to pursue computer science either at an IIT or BITS Pilani. His second choice would be to study electronics.
"It is very important to make a study plan and stay focused", he said. "I used to set a specific deadline to finish a subject. Also, it is very important to familiarize yourself with the papers."
Aravind loves to read books and magazines and also plays cricket and football.

Neha Anna George of Porvorim scored 209 out of 360. All of 17, the daughter of plant technical manager Seby A. George and physics teachers Nisha, wants to get into the field of teaching once she completes her engineering.
"I'm feeling pretty good. My parents are very happy. I want to thank God, my parents and teachers at the Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School equally for all their help and support."
Neha hasn't decided on the specialization she wants to take in engineering as yet.
"I did not have a study pattern as such. I would refer to books given by the school and would use the library a lot. Mostly, it involves a lot of practice," she said.
Neha loves to listen to Bollywood music and read fantasy novels.

Dharmanand Acharya from Panaji scored 204 out of 360 in the IIT JEE. This 17 year old student studied at Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School. His father Rajan Acharya is a teacher of mathematics at a government high school and his mother Savita Acharya works at a bank.
"The score could have been better but I am satisfied with whatever I have got," he said.
Dharmanand wants to pursue engineering at BITS, Goa but hasn't yet decided on the specialization.
"I do not follow any pattern for studying. According to me if a person likes what he is studying only then he should study it. The ideal time for preparing would be five hours a day. It depends on the subject. If I find the subject interesting, I study even for 8 hours a day. Sometimes if I'm not in the mood, I take the day off from studying".
Dharmanand loves listen to soft music in his free time. He also plays cricket and football during his free time.

Shardool Kulkarni, studying at Fr. Agnel Ashram, Verna, scored 203 out of 360, which qualifies him to answer the next exam in order to get into an IIT. "I am happy but not entirely satisfied with my score. I was really nervous for the exam and I know I could've done better."
Father Shantaprasad is a commercial officer in an industry, while mother Snehal is a home maker. "I studied for about 3-4 hours per day after college and during holidays I studied for 6-8 hours. I have an inclination towards physics and maths, and wish to make a career in electrical engineering," Shartool said. He would attend coaching classes at Aryaan in Margao.
He likes quizzing, watching cricket and occasionally playing badminton and is also a comic book fan. "I just want to tell the students preparing for this exam next year to put in all your hard work and listen to what your teachers have to say. If you fail once it doesn't mean it's the end, keep trying till you achieve what you desire."

Adarsh Agarwal, 18 years, was born in Kolkatta and has been living in Goa for the past 11 years at Caranzalem. He studied at Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School and has scored 252 out of 360 in the IIT JEE main this year.
"I feel the same nothing different. I made silly mistakes for the exam and I feel I could have done better. But I want to thank my parents and teachers especially Venkatesh Prabhudesai for all the help he gave me."
Adarsh's father Lalit Agarwal is a businessman based in Panaji and mother Kusum Agarwal is a housewife. He loves maths and wants to pursue computer science.
"I study for about five hours regularly. I go through the theory matter and I solve extra questions. Just before the exams I study for around seven hours a day," Adarsh said.
He plays football and cricket during his free time and goes to the gym regularly.
His message to all the other students is, "Be regular with your studies. Don't leave out anything. Study everything. Don't keep it for last minute and keep faith in yourself."
