JEE candidates to validate qualifying exam roll no: CBSE

Amidst reports that students have committed mistakes while submitting their class XII qualifying exam roll numbers for the JEE (Main) 2013 exams, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to validate information during the examination.

Sources said that the registered candidates of JEE (Main) 2013 were earlier notified to submit and update their roll numbers of class XII qualifying examination before downloading the admit cards of JEE (Main) - 2013 from the website.

"It has been observed that some of the candidates have committed mistakes while submitting their roll numbers. It has, therefore, been decided to validate the information of class XII qualifying examination roll numbers, Board and year during the examination of JEE (Main) - 2013 (pen and paper as well as computer based test)", a circular from CBSE states.

An authentication sheet will be given to candidate in the examination hall in which they have to verify the same. "The candidates are, hereby, advised to also bring with them a copy of document on the day of their JEE (Main) - 2013 and submit the same to the invigilator at the examination centre", the circular added. This is in addition to the candidates bringing their Admit Card for JEE (Main) 2013.
