Reportedly dead body of Ajay Kumar (60), senior professor in Electrical Computer Science department, IIT Roorkee was found on wednesday. This is still a mystry for police to identify whether this is suicide or murder case.
A senior professor in IIT said Kumar was often depressed due to his loneliness and had made an unsuccessful attempt to commit suicide two years ago. He said that Kumar’s wife Madhulika had committed suicide two years ago and his three daughters resided abroad.
Police has started investigations, and the body sent for post-mortem examination.
