18 class XII board toppers joined BITS Pilani this year for higher education.These toppers are from following boards
Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, CBSE (Chennai region), Chattisgarh, Goa, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
All these students were directly admitted to BITS Pilani in the category of ‘direct admission to board toppers’. “ Your children will walk out of the portals of the Institute with a sense of fulfillment” said Vice Chancellor, while addressing parents of students. “This is the day you leave all your comforts and join an institution which will give you all facilities and opportunities to grow. During the four years you are in this campus, you will become a professional who can rightfully earn respect from industries, academics or from fellow professionals”, he added.
Except these 18 students all the students were admitted on the basis of BITAT 2013 score
- Total number of seats – 2125
- Number of students appeared for BITSAT – 1,44,000
“Make friends, respect differences and learn new culture”, said Prof Raghurama, director of Pilani campus.
