1,113 qualifies in JEE-advanced from Guwahati Zone

Altogether 1,113 candidates, including 1027 boys and 86 girls have qualified this year for the JEE-Advanced examinations conducted for the IITs and Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad.

Altogether 10,4800 candidates had qualified the JEE- Mains to appear for the Advanced and 9649 candidates had appeared in the examination in the Guwahati zone, according to a press release issued by IIT, Guwahati here today.

Prince Vibek Baruah of Assam is the topper in Guwahati Zone with All India Rank 37 while Aditya Swarop and Nishant Gaurav occupied the second and third position.

The number of candidates who qualified JEE (Advanced) are 110 from Assam, 41 from other North Eastern states except Assam, 927 from Bihar and 35 from Siliguri.

P Sai Sandeep Reddy of Andhra Pradesh was the All India topper this year securing 332 out of 360 marks.

Qualified candidates need to log in and give their course choices online from 24-30 June 2013, the release added.
