CBSE Student files petition in high court for re-assessment of the answersheet

Reportedly a Noida based CBSE student on monday filed a petition for re-assessment of the answersheet of his English paper. Aman Tripathy is DPS Noida student, he scored 83%in his class XII board examination this year. He has scored above 90 marks in some subjects but only 65 marks in English.
“The examiner of English seemed to have negligently examined the copy which is evident from the fact that the petitioner scored 80 percent and 98 percent in other subjects except English in which he has got only 65 percent,” Tripathy’s plea said, alleging that his representation for re-assessment of the answersheet has been kept in abeyance since June 7.
During the hearing, CBSE counsel argued that the board’s examination rule does not permit the education body to re-assess the answersheets but allows a re-count of the marks awarded. Following the CBSE counsel’s argument, the court asked the petitioner’s counsel to modify the petition challenging the CBSE rules.
