JEE Advanced 2013 Counseling Procedure

JEE Advanced 2013 Counselling starts with the Online Registration from June 24 till June 30, 2013. The Counselling for JEE Advanced 2013 will be conducted in three rounds and students who have been shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the JEE Advanced 2013 exam will be eligible for it. The modalities of the JEE Advanced 2013 Counselling are summarized below:

JEE Advanced 2013 Counselling comprises of the following steps:

1. Online registration: (available from June 24 to 30, 2013)

• Candidate shortlisted for counselling and  admission to the 16 IITs and ISM Dhanbad should register to get a User ID and provide a password for future logins.
• Click here to Register
• Enter the particular and a password to be used in the future to log in.
• Note the User ID and password.

2. Online choice filling: (available from June 24 to 30, 2013)

• On successful registration, candidates must fill in the course choice in the order of seat preference as per the seat availability.
• Candidates may change, enter new choices till they lock their final choices.

 Locking of choices:

• The final choices of the candidates have to be locked by 5 pm on June 30, 2013
• Students may remember that if their final choices are not locked by June 30, 2013 as specified, the choices already entered by them will be automatically locked as the final ones.
• In case of any difficulty in accessing the JEE Counselling Online Portal  (JCOP), students must mail the helpline atjeehelpline@admin.iitd.ac.in before June 29, 2013 by 5 pm. 
   

3. Online seat allotment:

Students must note that the course allocation is on the basis of the all India rank (AIR) secured by the student in the JEE (Advanced)-2013 and the course preference opted by the student during counselling.

JEE Advanced 2013 Counselling will be conducted I three rounds:

• Round 1 allotments list will be declared on July 4, 2013
• Round 2 allotments list will be declared on July 9, 2013
• Round 3 allotments list will be declared on July 13, 2013

Once a round is completed, students must check for the seat allotted. The final allocation will be at the end of the third round of counselling

4. Online Provisional admission:

• Candidates allotted seats for thr first time in any of the three rounds of counselling should report to the respective Zonal IIT for document verification and fee payment
• Candidates must be physically present for the document verification.
• Candidates must print the course allotment letter from the JCOP to furnish for physical verification and reporting.

Documents needed for verification in original:

Note: Candidates must furnish the originals along with a set of attested copy for physical verification for their provisional admission.

• The original JEE (Advanced)  2013 Admit Card
• Application Form duly filled in for admission as per Annexure 1 of the JEE Advanced Counselling Brochure
• Course allotment letter printed from JCOP Portal
• Medical Examination Report duly filled in as per (Annexure 2)
• Proof of Date of Birth eg Class X Certificate/ Any other certificate
• Class XII or equivalent exam Marks sheet and certificate
• For OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwD/DS: Category Certificate issued by the competent authority
• For foreign national candidates:  Attested photocopy of the page in their passport containing the name, photo and nationality
• Registration Fees Rs.60,000/- (Rs.20,000/- in case of SC/ST category) in form of a DD in favor of Organizing Chairman, JEE (Advanced)-2013, Payable at New Delhi.

Reporting at Institute: (available after July 16, 2013)

• Candidates can print the final course allotment letter along with the provisional admission letter to report to the allotted institute.
• Candidates have to report as per the schedules published on the websites of the respective allotted IITs.
