Odisha Joint Entrance Examination begins counselling for engineering

The first phase of online counselling for undergraduate engineering admission through Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) began on Monday.

OJEE secretary Priyabrata Sahoo said aspirants need to register their name, create user ID, password at www.ojee.nic.in and lock their choices of colleges by accessing the internet anywhere by June 21.

Between June 13 and June 21, they have to go to the nodal centres for document verification, payment of fees and locking their choices. During this stage, they need to pay Rs 5,000 towards the university registration fee and Rs 450 as counselling fee in the shape of bank draft.

OJEE will make a provisional allotment on June 25 and alert students about it through SMS. Students, who want to withdraw from the counseling after provisional allotment, can approach the nodal centre where they verified their documents on June 26 and June 27. They will get back Rs 4,000 (OJEE will deduct Rs 1,000 as processing fee). SC/ST students who are not allotted any seat during provisional allotment can change their preference of colleges in the two days.
