Power cut in IIT entrance exam, extra 50 minutes given to students

Yesterday around 560 students appeared for IIT entrance examination at the Madras Institute of Technology, Chromepet that was held yesterday. They had to spend almost five hours in the examination hall without electricity. Power supply was just playing and students were not able to concentrate, they lost their momentum again and again.

Though 50 minutes bonus time was given to students but that was not enough for students as they lost their initial momentum.
The lack of light only made the JEE’s negative marking worse. “In an OMR sheet, you have to answer with a pen and it can’t be changed once marked, so we kept waiting in the dark,” said Pragnesh, a student.
