The results of the IIT-JEE Advanced-2013 will be declared on June 23. The IITs which conducted the JEE Advanced have also declared the schedule for counselling. The students will be able to take part in counselling from internet cafes or from their home. They will be required to lock the seats online. The first seat allotment will be done on July 4 in which students will come to know what branch of engineering they have got. After counseling, the allotment letters will be issued. Later, the students will be asked to come to for physical verification, document verification etc. Before issuing the final merit list, the board marks of the students would be seen. If the student would figure in the top 20 percentile of his respective board, only then he would be given admission in the IITs.
The second counselling would be held for National Institute of Technology (NITs) and IIITs. Thereafter, the allotment letters to the students will be issued. The academic session in the engineering colleges, including IITs, NITs, IIITs and other educational institutions will commence from August. This year, IIT-Delhi conducted JEE-Advanced. It was coordinated by IIT-Kanpur, Mumbai, Chennai, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Guhawati.
