Supreme Court will hear JEE Main petition on Thursday

Hearing on JEE Main petition in Supreme Court is scheduled on Thursday. On tuesday parents of all candidates moved to Apex court. Parents/Students have filed petition against Normalisation process, that was introduced this year only.
This year 40% weightage was given to XII board marks after normalisation of board marks and 60% weightage was given to JEE Main score. Students are strongly opposing normalisation, beacuse of this method rank of many students is far below than expected.
Everyone knows about normalisation since last year but what method will be used in this that was not explained. Even now also it is very difficult to understand.
“The normalization process is complex and unscientific. Instead of authorities putting out the normalization process well in advance, they disclosed it in May, a month after the JEE-Main exam. It has affected the ranking of many and thus affected their chance to get admission in one of the top engineering schools,” Garg said. “How can you play the game and then give the rules? It does not put all school boards on an equal footing in any way.”
CBSE chairman Vineet Joshi said the board is evaluating the issue.
