This year was a big shock for engineering aspirants. HRD ministry changed the engineering entrance format completely. The new format was introduced to reduce stress of students due to multiple entrace format but it worked in opposite way, a worst experience for every student. Till last year CBSE was taking counselling support from NIC (National Information Centre), but this year they took computational support of CDAC and introduced Central Seat Allocation Board, CSAB to hold a common counselling for IITs and NITs. This common counselling step was taken to reduce number of vacant seats at IITs, NITs. Even this step also worked in a opposite way. At last moment IITs pulled out their hands and organised a separate counselling for IITs.
So now only NITs, other CFETs and SFTIs were left with CSAB. Counselling was supposed to start from July 1 2013 that started from July 2 due to delay in JEE Main results. CSAB never announce any result on scheduled time.
