IIIT-Delhi has been bestowed with the ‘Fast Emerging Government Engineering College in Delhi’ award by the Brands Academy, a premier brand management and consulting firm in India.
IIIT-D registrar Ashwani Kansal received the award on behalf of the institute from the renowned ad guru Prahlad Kakkar at a gala ceremony held at the Hotel ITC Maurya, Diplomatic Enclave, Chankya Puri, New Delhi on April 13.
The institute was chosen for the award in view of the “excellent response” it garnered from the respondents to opinion surveys for Brands Academy Education Awards -2013, according to the organizers.
There were three categories -– city/state, national and global – under which the awards were handed over at the ceremony.
Every year, the Brands Academy identifies and recognizes the achievements of some of the finest colleges and institutes with the Education Excellence Awards based on a comprehensive market research considering various criteria that include but are not limited to Infrastructure, Faculty, Placements, Strength of Students, Annual Growth, Students & Alumni Feedback, Feedback from the industry etc.
