Information and Instructions on Spot Round and Extra Spot Round (SRESR)

a)     SRESR online registration, choice filling, fee payment (NEFT/E-CHALLAN/DD) :
between 22 - 27 July, 2013 (09:00-17:00)

b)     SRESR reporting at RC for document verification and choice locking :
between 25 - 27 July, 2013 (09:00-17:00)

The Spot Round and Extra Spot Round (SRESR) of seat allocation will be for the vacant seats available in Government Funded Technical Institutes (NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs) and all seats of Self Financed Technical Institutes (SFTIs) after the upgradation at the end of second round of reporting.

The following candidates are eligible for Spot Round and Extra Spot Round:

a)     Qualified candidates who did not register during July 01 - 09, 2013.

b)     Qualified candidates who have registered but not allocated a seat in all previous rounds.

c)     Candidates whose allotted seats were cancelled at Reporting Centre due to change of Gender/Category/PwD Status/State of Eligibility and are still eligible after the appropriate changes.

Candidates who have registered during July 01 - 09, 2013 are not required to register again. But the eligible candidates who have not registered are required to register online from places convenient to them or in any Help Centre.

Interested candidates should register, fill-in and save the choices, and make the payment from places convenient to them or from Help Centres during July 22 - 27, 2013. Since there is only limited facility in help centres, candidates are advised to complete the process of on-line registration, choice filling, and fee payment at home or in internet café in advance before going to an RC/HC. However, for document verification and locking of choices they need to report to any of the Reporting Center. Seats in Spot Round and Extra Spot Round shall be allotted against the vacancies generated from "available after third round reporting". Spot Round (SR): This round is applicable to GFTIs and SFTIs. The collected fee is non-refundable if seat is allocated to a candidate. The collected fee will be sent to the allocated Institute by CSAB even if the candidate does not take admission there. In case there is no seat allocation, the collected fee will be refunded to the candidate by CSAB.

Extra Spot Round (ESR):  This round is applicable to SFTIs only. The collected fee will be refunded to the candidates whether there is seat allocation or no seat allocation to the candidates. The candidates, who are allocated seats, have to pay the required fee at the admitting Institutes as per their rules and norms. Choice filling for both Spot Round (non-refundable) and Extra Spot Round (refundable) will be done by the candidates in one sitting only, i.e., before the Spot Round is started.

Choice Filling Steps for SRESR

Step 1: Register for Spot Round and Extra Spot Round (SRESR) through http://csab.in. Candidates already registered during 01 - 09 July 2013 need not register again.

Step 2: Login to the SRESR system using JEE (Main) - 2013 roll number and password.

Step 3: Fill up your choices for SRESR. It is upto the candidate's wish to fill up choices for both or any of the two rounds.

Step 4: Click on the Fee Payment link. Choose the mode through which you would like to pay the fee. If you choose DD, then fill the DD details. If your option is either e-challan or NEFT then download your form and deposit the money in the bank.

Step 5: Print your Choice List and go to the Reporting Center with your documents and payment receipt/DD during 25 -27 July, 2013.

Look for seat allotment for SRESR on 29 July 2013 on http://csab.in website. Proceed to the allotted institute for admission. Your payment amount after deductions shall be refunded if you satisfy any of the followings; (a) you have been not allotted any seat, (b) you have been allotted a seat in ESR. Please make it sure that your bank details are accurate. This would expedite the refund process.
