3% rise in placement as compared to last year at IIT Bombay

Placement graph of Indian institute of technology Bombay is continuously rising year by year. Despite the recession placements at the Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B) saw a 3% rise in students placed.

Reportedly the number of international offers from MNCs and foreign players also raised by 40%, from 64 to 80. This year many popular social networking sites like LinkedIn, Twitter also hired students from campus. This year’s highest pay package was offered by Samsung US/Korea. Sriram Bhargav, a computer science student, has bagged an offer of $1,50,000 (Rs80 lakh) from Samsung US/Korea.
2nd phase of campus placement has also started since second week of January and 50 job offers have already been made to students.
