CBSE school forgets to register students for Board Exams

Reportedly due to school negligence in registering students for board exams online, the future of 113 class X students is uncertain. These students may be forced to appear for the school based exam which are scheduled to be held in mid of march.
Many students prefer board exams as they find if difficult to shift to state syllabus schools in class XI despite good grades.

“The staff member, who was entrusted the task of enlisting students on-line fell ill, due to which this confusion has happened. We have been pursuing the matter with CBSE immediately after we realised that we had not received the hall tickets,” said school principal Asha S.
School authorities faxed a letter to CBSE’s regional office in Chennai requesting them to make arrangements for the students to sit in the Board based exam. However, a CBSE official from Chennai said, “We have a transparent system, wherein the schools have to fill details on-line about students appearing for school and Board based exams. The school has approached us too late and now nothing can be done”.
Parents feel that this is not just a mistake of school management. ” This has been done deliberately by school authorities to ensure that the children appear for school-based exam and continue their studies in another school run by the same management” alleged a parent Madhava Prabhu
