What’s common between the students of Indian Institute of Technology, Indore (IIT-I) who want fat packages and those who want to be pure entrepreneurs – placement blues! Poor placement at the premier institute is said to be haunting the students because as many as half of the first batch are still waiting for a suitable placement.
Only 56 students out of 107 from the first batch have been given job placements while the rest are at the mercy of the institute authorities. Students of mechanical and electrical engineering branch are facing even more difficulties as only 15 from each branch have been placed.
The low placement rate is not only leaving the students disappointed but also ruining the high expectations of people and aspirants associated with the IIT brand.
