CBSE has already opened three new examination centers in Kerala state for JEE Main 2013 offline exam, which is scheduled to be held on 7th April 2013. Reportedly after Kerala now parents from Orissa state are demanding for at leat three more examination centers in state. At present, there is only one centre at Rourkela for JEE-main examination . About 50,000 students from the state will appear in the test.
“Every year, the candidates face immense difficulty in getting accommodation at Rourkela. Moreover, candidates from far off southern districts like Koraput, Rayagada, Phulbani, Malkanagiri have to travel a long distance to appear for the examination”, the parents said here.
“The candidates who appeared in the JEE-main examination last year, had faced serious problems as neither accommodation nor proper food was available in the hotels at Rourkela. Most of the candidates had to spend the night before the test under the open sky, while some others slept at the railway station itself,” said Sudhir Kumar Rout, the father of an examinee.
Parents also pointed that all other states are having more than one examination centers for same exam.
