Reportedly the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has ordered inquiry against S.Devdas, the joint secretary and regional officer of CBSE Allahabad on the basis of the complainants lodged by a woman assistant secretary at CBSE Allahabad and a female teacher of a school in Moradabad affiliated to the board.
Two separate inquiries have been ordered by the sexual harassment and complaints committee of the board.
According to the first complaint, Devdas called her to the office at odd hours for insignificant work and asked her to sing and dance. She alleged that the officer also pressurised her into having dinner with him at a hotel. She has also accused the officers of passing lewd remarks and threatening to spoil her future career prospects.
On the other hand, the teacher from Moradabad, in her complaint has accused Devdas of pressurising her to share her mobile number while on an inspection to her school and later called asking her to visit him at the place he was staying during the night. The teacher has also alleged that the officer also offered her a job in Allahabad and threatened of serious consequences if she did not compromise.
