MPPET form submission last date extended

Considering demand of Madhya Pradesh Association of Technical and Professional Institutes (MPATPI), directorate of technical education (DTE) has extended the last date of submission of applications of pre-engineering and pharmacy test (PEPT) on Friday from February 17 to 24.

Confirming the decision, Madhya Pradesh Professional Education Board (MPPEB) exam controller Pankaj Trivedi said, "Dates have been extended to give an opportunity to students. Several students wanted to extend the dates." There will be no change in exam date ,which is scheduled to be organised on April 21. He, however, added that it is first and last extension of dates.

MPATPI vice-president Surendra Patidar said, "This year applicants' number for PET was less as comparing to the last year owing to various reasons. MPATPI demanded an extension in dates which was later accepted by DTE."

He added that this year around 75,000 students applied for entrance test, which is almost 50,000 less than the previous year. "We have almost 90,000 seats and such less number of students was a concern for engineering colleges across the state," said Patidar.

MPATI has also demanded wide publicity of state pre-engineering test. "We need to publicise in various other parts of the state about the state engineering entrance test. We have huge infrastructure and quality education in the state as compare to other state. In such a situation, more students should be attracted to engineering courses in the state," he said.
