Indian institute of technology, Bombay held phase one of placements between December 1 and 18, 2012. During phase 1 of placement around 240 companies visited the campus and made around 900 job offers to students.
Most students have shown interest towards the technical sector with larger number of students wanting to opt for engineering and technology firms including information technology. The largest number of offers by single organisations were from engineering and technology sector.
60 offers have been offered by the management consulting firms
90 job offers have been offered by the financial services firms .
Multinational companies offered job to 84 students for global recruitment.
Phase-two of placements will be held between January and June 2013.
