Today HRD Minister M M Pallam Raju laid the foundation stone of the first National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Arunachal Pradesh.
“The creation of NIT has ensured some seats for admission in undergraduate courses for students of Arunachal Pradesh which will bound to uplift economics of locality directly or indirectly and help in enhancing human development index in the state,” Raju said after laying the stone.
The NIT which will be the first in the state is being set up in an area of 300 acres donated by local residents.
